Hi
I booked a long saved for cruise for my young family over a year ago. We are due to sail in 7 days. However, we received an e ticket for the flight and a voucher for the stopover hotel when we get there, but there is NOTHING at all re: the cruise. The document just states ‘INDEPENDENT TRAVEL’. I have checked with Royal caribbean website who we are cruising with & it states that our travel agent should be sending us a ‘cruise booklet’ with our itinery, details, mealtimes etc 7-10 days before we go. I have ried phoning them but it is a premium rate number and last time we called them, we had to hang on for 2 hours to be answered!! I am really nervous about taking my young children all the way to Miami when we may not be allowed to board the cruuise when we get there. We have found Virgin Holiday Cruises to be awful – they messed up our original booking! – and thought that they would be as good as Virgin Flights and Virgin Holidays but they operate under the name of FAST TRACK holidays. Does anyone know whether it is normal to not receive anything about the cruise from Virgin Cruises – am I worrying for nothing? (the Royal Caribbean website has a note of our reservation as I have booked an excursion but I feel that we should have been given the details rather than have to hunt down our itinery? Can anyone help?
Tickets received this morning with less than 7 days to go – by Special Delivery which shows that they know they were late.
I don’t recommend Virgin Cruises to anyone – will pay extra and go direct to the cruise line next time! Thanks for you answers – I can sleep well now!!
