What should I know to work in a travel agency?

I’m starting to work in an agency, it’s more like an internship at this point. It’s my uncle’s agency and they use the program “Amadeus”.

Is there anything I should know? What about proper phone etiquette? It’s in spanish, but I imagine that the ettiquette is the same.

Any comments or tips would be wonderful

I will probably work most with DC area airports, maybe miami and LAX.

That and south american countries.

Oh and if you could provide cheatsheets on airport and airlines codes, I would be greatful for the rest of my life!!

I need the travel agency to give me my money back, can I sue them if not?

I bought a ticket like 5 months ago. My destination was Peru with many stops. In one of the stops I had to saty in Panama for one night (14 hours) when I bought the ticket all the itineraries were like that. There was not warning or any info about having to get a visa for those tickets. yesterday me and my daughter were at the airport when found out that we couldnt flight becasue we didnt have visa to be in panama. I dont know why they put those itineraries when we just want to go to peru. They dont want to refund the money and even a company want to reschedule the flight they coudlnt becsaue it was bought throught an online agency and it was conbine with continental and copa airlines. I am a single mom and I worked so hard to finally buy the tickets and spend the holidays with our family in Peru. I dont have any relatives in here, you can already imagine how we are, I falling into a depression right now but I think i must do something, can somebody help me to have a direction? thank you so much.

How do I write a Yahoo! review for an airline or travel group?

I want to write reviews so people can read about my experiences on airlines and with travel groups. How do I do this? When I tried to write one for Delta, there was no place (that I could see) where I could click and write one. Can someone tell me how I can? Is this feature still in progress?
I have already tried checking the review box and all that. I’ve done several searches on Yahoo! Travel for airlines, but none have places where I can rate them. Why don’t they?

I got something in the mail that’s really weird. I have no idea where it came from. Travel to Hong Kong this June?

Hello, I am really hoping you could help me. My husband and I wanted to go to Hong Kong this June and we wanted the best deal for money and time. I checked Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. PAL obviously is more expensive than Cebu Pacific. I also check the Fun Tours of Cebu Pacific where they offer plane and lodging accommodations. The cheapest is Php23,000 for the plane to and from and then 3 nights at a 2-star hotel. I chose the more expensive package for a more relaxed flight schedule and a 3-star hotel accommodation in Dorsett Far East. We will make our own itinerary since we are planning to explore, although I have been there before.

At 1 a.m. I get a call from travel agency canceling my flight?!!!!?

I just got a call from orbitz saying my non stop flight in 18 hours has been cancelled and I can either move my flight up 6 hours or move it behind 12 hours. I am in shock. I was to go visit my mom on her birthday while she is in the hospital and coincidentally I actually purchased these tickets 9 months ago. neither moving up or back works for me. i really just want to fly when i had planned even if they have to change the airline. what are my options in this? I was told that I can move up or back but refund and using someone else wasn’t an option.
