Misspelled names on airline ticket? help?

Okay recently I booked 8 tickets for me and my family/relatives and it was over the phone..The travel agency woman spelled 3 persons names wrong [just one letter in each name/last name - she mistakenly put (i) instead of (a) for a childs first name in the end and put the (a) in the other 2 persons last name instead of the (i)] but when I told her they were wrong she said she will send the airline a notice about that and not to worry about it…However I talked to the airline and they transferred me to the one based in Europe because they are closed here in the US for today. They corrected that but then the person told me to call the airline tomorrow here in the US to check if they would allow me to board with that mistake?

Misspelled name in the international airline ticket?

I’ve bought an e-ticket from Delta.com. Travelling Moscow – Atlanta – Detroit – New York – Moscow
But I’ve spelled my name as I usually do (EUGENE VARNAVSKY), while in my passport it is spelled EVGENY VARNAVSKI. Clearly the same, but i afraid it can cause problems in the airport with these buorecrats. And the route is long with alot of check-ins. Delta says that name on ticket and ID “must match”, and it is impossible to change name on ticket or get a refund. That ticket price is my salary for 1,5 months!
Will this cause any trouble for me? What can I do now?
