Recourse for horrible customer service on Continental Airlines. If I accepted thier hotel, what did I give up

I had a round trip international ticket and on each leg of the flight we were delayed, substantially. Ultimately, we were delayed/stranded for four full days – one on the front end of the flight and three on the back end. As a result, the class I travelled for will not get me credit and I lost out on three days of work. Throughout the delays and the 30+ Continental representatives I spoke to, nobody was helpful. Some lied, most sent me to other people to speak with, some sent me to a five hour line which did not have the answer and some yelled at me when i told them that this service was unacceptable.

Because we had no other options, we took thier vouchers for the hotel and food. When I got back in the country Continental customer care told us that when we accepted thier vouchers, we gave up our right to seek any recourse. Is that correct? They did not disclose this policy when they put us in a hotel. And, in my mind, a cheap, smelly airport hotel is not a subsititute.

I need the travel agency to give me my money back, can I sue them if not?

I bought a ticket like 5 months ago. My destination was Peru with many stops. In one of the stops I had to saty in Panama for one night (14 hours) when I bought the ticket all the itineraries were like that. There was not warning or any info about having to get a visa for those tickets. yesterday me and my daughter were at the airport when found out that we couldnt flight becasue we didnt have visa to be in panama. I dont know why they put those itineraries when we just want to go to peru. They dont want to refund the money and even a company want to reschedule the flight they coudlnt becsaue it was bought throught an online agency and it was conbine with continental and copa airlines. I am a single mom and I worked so hard to finally buy the tickets and spend the holidays with our family in Peru. I dont have any relatives in here, you can already imagine how we are, I falling into a depression right now but I think i must do something, can somebody help me to have a direction? thank you so much.

American airlines and United Airlines developed reservation systems used by their own ticketing agents and by travel agents in booking flights. When a customer calls to book a flight, the agent enters information into a computer concerning the date and time of flights required. The system displays the flights that meet these criteria, and the agent presents the choices to the customer.
In 1984, several of their competitors sued American and United, claiming that these reservation systems constituted unfair competition. The competitors claimed that American and United charged excessive fees for including competing airlines flights in the system. Also, they asserted that American and United limited competitor’s participation and displayed competitors’ flight after displaying their own. Not surprisingly, busy travel agents were more likely to book these flights instead of looking further for flights on the other airlines that might be as good or better for customers. American and United countered that their use of these systems was not unfair competition. Rather, they had decided to invest in these systems many years earlier, and after years of work were now enjoying the fruit of these investments. That same year, American and United agreed to discontinue preferential treatment for their own flights in screen displays used by travel agents.

own company, permanent resident status, since 2004 relation with dutch woman, she has traveled serveral times to be with me in U.S, she has two kids to be adopted by me. does the fact of me having own company give us any advantage for a visa(since i can employ U.S workers) application for her? we can show emails, phone bills, pics, receipts, airline tickets , hotel reservation receipts etc.

I am traveling to Morocco with a 4 year old and a 16 months old in August. Travelocity told me to call the airline itself. There are hundreds of arilines. How do I find this out? Has anyone heard or got a discount? If so, what airline did you fly? We are traveling from Portland,OR to Tangier, Morocco. So far the tickets seem to be $1500 per adult. Do they get any cheaper? Thanks for any info.

im planning to fly into lax sometime during the holidays with my 2 1/2 year old daughter and i was told that anyone over two needs a ticket to fly. that’ll probably run me another $400! i’ve boarded my daughter before without buying a separate ticket or checking her in when she was 1 1/2 years old. she sat on my lap. can i still sit her on my lap for the flight and not have to pay for another ticket or will i have to buy one? if i do, can i get a discount on the airline ticket? i can do a lot with 400 bucks! lol Good answers will be appreciated. thanks!
