we live in australia had a call from astar travel in florida(Tampa) with a holiday package. cruise free,accomadation free,car hire free

Florida Travel Bureau-great deal for $298, but theprice escalates as you book hotels, cruises, etc. Ripoff?

For a price of $298 per person, you pay for port stops, all-inclusive stays, etc. This is not included in the $298. You have to pay your airfare, car rental, meals and incidentals. It really adds up. They say it’s a good deal, but when you figure all the costs you’re better off booking on your own. These people are real scam artists.

Vacation Village Voyages Travel Club in Ft Lauderdale, Florida ?

We attended a comp lunch with this group and they tried to sell us a lifetime membership in their group. Has anybody heard of them ? Know of them ? The deal doesn’t sound bad but I am concerned about the small print. They said there was none, but that’s too impossible to buy. We got caught before in a similar travel thing and don’t want to do it again. They offerred lifetime membership for $8,000 plus $189 a year additional fees for 6 weeks condo, 4 guest exchanges at no charge, unlimited cruise discounts that are a fraction of the cost of any cruise, and a buy back option at 50 % in 10 years. Their web site is www.vvvoyages.net and it doesn’t tell me much. We think it’s a good deal but are afraid of getting hood-winked.
