Flying to Canada, what to expect with customs and etc.?

Flying from Grand Rapids, Mich. to Minneapolis, layover 30 mins. or so, then flying to Seattle, then layover for about an hour, then flying to Kelowna, BC. Flying with Northwest the first 2 flights and Alaska Airlines the last flight. I would like to know where I would have to go through customs, in Grand Rapids or Kelowna, and if anybody has helpful hints and advice for my first time flying. And I would like to know more about how custom’s works, what can I expect? Anything would be helpful :) I don’t have my tickets right now, my bf in Canada set it up through a travel agency and i just have a confirmation number (basically etickets), etc. I have no clue where I will be going or where to go till then. Little info on my itinerary. Using terminal Lindbergh in Minneapolis, and thats all I know.
i am 21, almost 22. my bf is older yet.
i have a passport.
i am sending some of my things ahead of time in UPS mail.
i am going back in August definitely by car ride with bf. sooner if customs says i can’t stay. i have a place to come back to in michigan but i want to get all my ducks in a row to move over there and become citizen later through sponsoring.

If you have free airfare to either Cancun, Bahamas, Jamaica, Miami for a cruise, etc. where would you go?

Hi, we gave up our seats on a flight home from Florida to St. Louis and the airline gave us 2 free roundtrip tickets to anywhere they fly. We would only have to pay for hotels and food, or if a cruise, just the price of the cruise. We are 44 years old and are stuck on deciding where to go and what to do with our free tickets. Tropical Places Air Tran flies: Cancun, Aruba, Bahamas, Jamaica, Miami, Key West, and I think Cabo San Lucas. We only want to spend about 1200 bucks total for 3 nights somewhere. (This would need to include food and hotel/ or the total price for the cruise). We’ve never cruised before so I don’t know if I’d like that or not. We looked into all inclusive places in Cancun that looked great but don’t know which place is best. I checked out Atlantis in the Bahamas but that place seemed overpriced for about 1700 for 3 nights. We heard Jamaica has gone done hill somewhat and crime is a problem, not for sure on that though. Let me know what you’d do and where you’d go if you have traveled to any of these places. Thanks a lot for any information! Sierra
Activities we like to do: lounge around on a beach, sip drink at a tiki hut, look for shells, eat lots of food (seafood, yum!), take a little cruise to see dolphins or to go to a private island, gamble possibly, see a show maybe, but nothing that 20 year olds like, not too wild of partying etc. , more relaxed and secluded beaches preferably. Thanks.

Florida Travel Bureau-great deal for $298, but theprice escalates as you book hotels, cruises, etc. Ripoff?

For a price of $298 per person, you pay for port stops, all-inclusive stays, etc. This is not included in the $298. You have to pay your airfare, car rental, meals and incidentals. It really adds up. They say it’s a good deal, but when you figure all the costs you’re better off booking on your own. These people are real scam artists.
