On a clear day how far can you see on the ground from a commercial plane at cruising altitude?
Say a 747-400 is flying from Sydney to Los Angles and looses an engine over the middle of the Pacific, could it get to LA, and could it maintain its cruising altitude?
I’m sure this is obvious to any aviation buff:
what factor limits the # of blades on the prop of an airplane engine
jet engines must have 100′s of tiny blades in them
is there a limit to the # of propellers an airplane engine can have
I ask this question peering through the pinhole of how much mire efficient five bladed ceiling. cooling fans are than their 3 & 4 bladed
predicesors. Why couldn’t a ten blade engine out run a 4 blade?
When i turn 14, im going to try to go for my boating license. But i don’t know if i will have enough info to pass the test. Can someone please tell me if it is really that hard?
I’m just starting out. I already heard that a board between your nose and chin isn’t the way to go. The kind of riding I want to do is mainly cruising, not so much doing tricks and stuff. I’m about 5 11′ and 170 pounds. Shoe size about 10.5. I want to at least get a decent board, not a starter one that I’ll replace in another winter or two. Thanks peeps. Comment on brands as well if you’d like.
My car’s fuel computer says I am consuming 0.0 litres per kilometer when I am cruising in gear with my feet off the accellerator (gas) pedal (e.g. going downhill, coming up to a junction, or roundabout etc.) Is this true? How is it done? The engine is still running. I can hear it! Is the computer wrong?
If it makes any difference, the car is powered by a diesiel (gas oil) engine.
In the city/suburbs? The only tricks I plan on doing are ollies to jump off/on curbs. Would a pro skateboard brand be good or a blank deck ordered online suffice as well?
Also, it seems that wheel size and the height of the trucks are the most important factor, which size would be best and what brand of trucks?
I eventually plan on getting a skateboard for tricks once I get more used to cruising.
